Hyde-Woodstock Girls Lacrosse vs. PCD
Friday, May 4, 2012
Hyde-Woodstock – 10
PCD – 15
Hyde faced the number one team in its SENE division and came up short, although it was a vast improvement from the first game of the season. In the first game the wolf pack lost by 10. The team started the first half well scoring 2 unanswered goals within the first two minutes of the game. PCD battled back though and it was a see saw battle through the first half, Hyde would score the go ahead goal and PCD would answer back. Allina Donnelly ’13 was on fire in the first half scoring 5 of her 7 goals. The defense contained their shooters and first time goalkeeper Jenna Kowalski ‘13 did a stellar job in spite of only practicing for 20 minutes in the position. In the second half it was PCD’s turn to go on a scoring spree racking up 4 unanswered goals. Hyde would come within 1 goal in the second half but fell to their balanced attack. The scoring was as follows; Alina Donnelly ’13 with 7 goals, Bryn Nolan ’12 with 1 goal and 3 assists, Andrea Sayegh ’12, Jah St. Claire ’14, and Katherine Hagood’ 13 each with 1 goal. The team looks forward to its next game Monday against Marianapolis.
