Hyde-Woodstock – 11
Hyde- Bath – 10
Hyde-Woodstock made the trek to Bath for their Family Weekend. The team quickly found themselves back on their heels facing a 3-0 deficit. The defense was somewhat disjointed by some recent injuries and the late arrival of the goalie after being treated in the training room. They also had difficulty stopping Laughlyn Bragg. The offense struggled to find their rhythm and often forced shots too early. Even with the challenges in the first half the wolf pack went into halftime down by a goal with the score 7-6. The halftime talk was about the importance of possession and fighting for every ball. The effort in the second half was much different starting with the face-offs and Alina Donnelly ’13. The defense dug in their heels and fought led by Yang Yi ’12. The team kept its composure tying the game with about nine minutes to go. A minute later the winning goal was scored. Jenna Dubinsky ’14 had a solid effort in goal stopping Laughlyn in the final two minutes of the game in a one on one situation. It was a great win for the wolf pack and a valiant effort from the phoenix. The scoring was as follows; Alina Donnelly ’13 with 5 goal and 1 assist. Becca Katz ’12 with 2 goals and 3 assists, Andrea Sayegh ‘12 with 2 goals and 1 assist and Bryn Nolan ‘12 with 2 goals. Hyde faces Bancroft on Wednesday in its next contest.
