Hyde-Woodstock            12
Hyde-Bath                          2

The Wolfpack traveled to Hyde-Bath today for the battle of the prestigious “President’s Cup”.  Senior face-off specialist Danny Gill ’12 won the opening face-off and fed junior attackman Jared Larsen ’13 to go ahead 1-0 in the opening minutes. Not long after, Joe Yanovitch ’13 and Kevin McMorrow ’12 each had a goal to put Woodstock ahead 3-0. On the defensive side of the ball, goalie Blake Smaldone ’12 and defensemen Evan Dienstag ’12, Zach Cereme ’12, Ben Lieber ’12 and Matt Forelli ’13 played stellar defense and limited the offensive fire-power of the Phoenix. In the second quarter, the Wolfpack power play scored an amazing goal on some unselfish play that ended with  Yanovitch ’13 hitting a 15 yard rip and soon after Alex Holland ‘13 had a nifty move that put Woodstock up 8-1 at the half.

In the second half, the Wolfpack continued where they left off and Larsen’13  once again found the back of the net and helped Woodstock cruise to victory 12-2. Some other standout performers for the day were defensive midfielder Ethan Thoms ’12 who had some key groundballs and clears as well as the second half goalie Cullum Thompson ’12 who finished with 9 saves on the day. Next up the Williams School today @ 4:15 p.m.
