Hyde-Woodstock Girls Lacrosse vs. Marianapolis
Wednesday, April 18, 2012
Hyde-Woodstock – 11
Marianapolis – 4
The wolf pack traveled across town in a league match up against Marianapolis on Wednesday with a desire to bring their record to 500. Hyde had a lot of opportunities to score early but failed to capitalize until Becca Katz ’12 got the ball rolling with two beautiful quick shots in front of the goal assisted by Alina Donnelly ’13 and Bryn Nolan ’12. The defense also started off slowly with some miscommunication and confusion about who was covering who in front of the net. Eventually Hyde’s fire power proved too much and the defense settled in and started talking. The offense led by Andrea Sayegh ’12 and Alina Donnelly ’13 has begun to share the ball more and be more patient which led to its success in this game. Jenna Dubinsky ’14 continues to grow in goal with 11 saves. The scoring was as follows; Becca Katz ’12 with 3 goals and 1 assist, Alina Donnelly ’13 with 3 goals, Andrea Sayegh ’12 with 2 goals and 3 assists, Bryn Nolan ’12 with 2 goals and 2 assists. Woodstock looks forward to a rematch with Worcester before heading north to the Bath campus.
