Wolfpack JV Lax Ties Rocky Hill 3-3 in Season Opener

Wolfpack JVLax 3

Rocky Hill 3

The boys Junior Varsity lacrosse team is off to a great start. During the first game the Wolfpack traveled to Rhode Island to face Rocky Hill. During the first half of play we dominated the field winning all face offs and keeping the ball in the offensive end for the majority of the half. Three goals were tallied by the halves end by Griffin Davidson ’13 and new comer John McDonald ’13. Junior faceoff man Stanley Yao  was extremely solid at the faceoff, he only lost one faceoff on the day. In the second half the Wolfpack let Rocky Hill creep back in and we ended the game with a tie score of 3-3. “Leaders of the Pack” helmet stickers were awarded to John Nelson ’14, a sophomore captain, for his superb leadership and play in the defensive end and Joey Fan for his ability to learn a new position in a few days and make a huge impact at midfield.  Major Kudos should also go to returning JV goalie Peter Markham 13  for having a stellar game between the pipes and keeping us in the game when Rocky Hill stepped up the pace in the second half. Big week next week as the wolf pack have three home games on the turf, wish us luck!
