Hyde vs. Falmouth Academy
Hyde 16
Falmouth 6
Hyde hosted SENE conference rival Falmouth Academy with hopes of avenging last year’s playoff loss. From the start, Hyde dominated the face-off circle led by Danny Gill ’12 and beautiful fast break goals by Jared Larsen ’13 and
Kevin McMorrow ’12 to put Hyde ahead early 3-0. Hyde controlled the tempo for the majority of the first half and on the defensive side of the ball, defenseman Matt Forelli ’13 was stellar along with starting goalie Blake Smaldone ’12 to put Hyde ahead at the break 8-2. In the second half, Hyde continued to “pour it on” and Yanovitch 13’ continued his hot shooting putting his fifth goal of the day away at the end of the third quarter. Senior goalie, Cullum Thompson ’12 took over in the second half and anchored the defense along with help from senior defensive mid-fielder Kevin Smith ’12 to help Hyde cruise to victory and remain unbeaten in SENE conference play with a final score of 16-6. Next up for the Wolf Pack is Suffield Academy on Wednesday @ home.
