Hyde-Bath vs. Hyde-Woodstock Track Meet – 4/4/12
The men’s and women’s track teams traveled to its sister school Hyde-Woodstock for the opening track meet of the year. We took around 45 athletes to the meet and for roughly thirty-five of them, this was their first-ever track and field competition.
It was a beautiful day for a track meet and I was very pleased with our performance and competitive spirit. Both the men’s and women’s teams won, avenging their narrow losses against Hyde-Woodstock last year. Meet scores are below and individual performances attached (separate tabs for men and women).
The girls competed with ten total athletes against a similar size Woodstock squad. Three of our women won all three of their individual events and all three were members of a victorious 4 x 400m relay. Senior Dexie Cercos `12 won the 100m hurdles (17.96), the 300m hurdles (50.5… a PR) and the triple jump (29’ 5”).
