For the first time since I’ve been coach we had enough runners to field a JV team of 6 runners. James Howard ’13 took the lead for our junior varsity guys and placed 21st in a time of 23:27 only 4 seconds away from earning himself an award. Tyler Jenkins ‘15 and Andrew Moran 15’ continued to show improved attitude and effort by pushing over the hills in 24:36 and 24:37. They finished in 34th and 35th place respectively. Apache He ’12 and Tony Shao ’13 came across the line in 47th and 48th place. Apache had one of his fastest times this season despite the hills and crossed the line in 26:14. Tony took a spill on the course and did a number on his knee but the scrapes, blood and bruising couldn’t keep him down. He finished strong before heading over to the medical tent for a little help cleaning and wrapping up. Richard Fagan ’14 was our sixth runner and struggled through the course with an injured knee but refused to quit. In the end the JV Wolf Pack placed 7th as a team and should be very proud of the results of their effort.
