Bath, ME—Hyde School, a national leader in character education and leadership development, will hold its 45th Alumni and Homecoming weekend this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The weekend will feature a screening of the 2010 hit film “Below the Beltway,” which was produced by Hyde alumnus Spencer Garrett, who also stars in the movie. The event is open to former Hyde students, who will also enjoy opportunities to reconnect with their high school experiences and friends over the weekend.
Other planned activities include the opportunity to attend a Government Class taught by Spencer Garrett and president of Hyde Schools Malcolm Gauld, a “fun run” with current students and faculty, morning yoga, and a bonfire. Alumni are invited to attend sports games on Saturday, and on Sunday the group will enjoy brunch and an optional fishing or sightseeing tour on the Kennebec River.
Hyde Schools were also pleased to welcome Spencer Garrett to their Board of Governors earlier this year. A longtime veteran of Hollywood, Mr. Garrett has acted in scores of movies and television shows, including Casino Jack, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Grey’s Anatomy, CSI: NY, and many more. After graduating from the Hyde School in Bath, Mr. Garrett attended Duke and Fordham Universities before studying acting with celebrated teacher Sanford Meisner.
