A Hyde Tradition: The Audition (Video)

This year’s August Orientation program featured one Hyde tradition that every student and faculty member participates in: auditions. An audition is two verses and a chorus of a song of your choosing, sung acapella (without musical accompaniment).  In this video, Marcy Altobello ’12 explains how auditions work, and three students—Lauren Maloney, Mike Kanda, and Stanley Yao—show us how it’s done!

Summer at Hyde offers fun, challenge and excitement for teenagers ages 13-18. Summer Sessions help students to build confidence, learn, and make lifelong friends. In 2011, programs included Maine Whitewater Rafting, an Oregon Trail Retreat, Songwriting, a “City Lights” tour of major cities, Equestrian, Lacrosse, Theater, and much more.
