MEN’S TEAM: 6th Place out of 20

WOMEN’S TEAM: 17th Place out of 20

The men’s and women’s track teams traveled to our sister school (Hyde-Woodstock) for the New England NEPSTA Division III Track & Field Championship.  The sun was finally out and it was a perfect day for a championship meet.

Like most of our meets this year, we had a solid performance with several medalists and a number of season PR’s.  Overall meet results are attached.

Senior Wes Freston `11 sported three silver medals on the day with second place finishes in the long jump, 100m and 200m.  Also the men’s side, Chris Moulton `12 placed 4th in the javelin and Ted Cercos `11 placed 5th in the 300m hurdles.  On the women’s side, sophomore Katie Comeaux `13 placed 6th in the discus and Dexie Cercos `12 matched her brother by placing 5th in the 300m hurdles

Seasonal personal records (PR’s) on the day included the women’s 4x400m relay (4:53.61… Emeline Ferguson `11, Madi Preece `13, Katie Comeaux `13 and Dexie Cercos `12), Wes Freston `11 in the long jump (22’ 06.5”), Ted Cercos `11 in the 300m hurdles (44.25), Dexie Cercos `12 in the javelin (81’ 4”) and in the 300m hurdles (52.66), Chris Moulton `12 in the javelin (147’ 9”), Evan Preece `12 in the javelin (106’ 4’), the boys 4x100m relay (50.20… Matt Landry `13, Ben Webber `12, Kevin Ou `11, and Nero Chai `11), Matt Landry `13 in the pole vault (8’ 6”… one-and-a-half feet higher than his previous best!!!),

It has been a wonderful track season for the Hyde men and women.  As I sign off for the season, I want to thank all those parents who came to support of efforts.  I have attached for all of you the spreadsheet of individual season-long performances.
