Bath: WVL Week in Review

Hyde                     4

Hebron                14

The Hyde Women’s Lacrosse team fell to Hebron in a home game and season opener on Saturday afternoon. This new Hyde team showed a lot of confidence out of the gate and scored their first goal within the first two minutes of play, going up 1-0. Senior captain and goalie Alyssa Thomas kept the defense competitive in the first half with save after save; totaling 17 saves for the day. Juniors Tandis Rafii and Zaji Liebermann, both brand new to the sport, showed hustle and a willingness to learn on the defensive end; both players have improved immensely in just the first few weeks of practice. Junior Cat Vidal-Bouret led the pack in the midfield with her athleticism and aggressiveness, and Junior Laughlynn Bragg led the offensive charge, scoring all four goals for the Phoenix. The Hyde Women are to play Phillips Exeter’s JV team in an away contest on Wednesday, and return to their home turf on Saturday to take on Berwick Academy as part of the Spring Family Weekend schedule at Hyde this weekend.
