Hyde traveled to Masters on Saturday in what would be a very high intensity game. Masters started the game off strong scoring easily and looking like they would make quick work of the game. Hyde never folded though answering back quickly and exchanging the lead with them several times in the first half but at the end of the first half Masters went on a run and at the half the score was Hyde 25, Masters 34.
The second half started off much like the first, Masters came out strong and took advantage of the light defense played by Hyde. At one point Masters had an 18 point lead. Hyde showed their resilience and battled back coming back to within 3, but unfortunately they couldn’t finish off with the win. The final score was Hyde 56, Masters 65.
Some standouts for the game included Jalen Hill who had 19 points and 12 rebounds. Jahveney Beckford had 18 points, and Derek Kubitz had 11 points.
