Tough Wolfpack Loss to PSA

The Hyde boys varsity basketball team had their first home game on Wednesday against Putnam Science Academy.  Putnam got off to a fast start taking the lead early and never looking back.  At half time the score was 30-11.  The Hyde team came into the second half with much more energy and although down by a lot they never fully gave in, but despite their efforts PSA dominated the game.  The final score was PSA 58, Hyde 30.

Standouts for the game included Jalen Hill ’11 who lead the team with 17 points, and 19 rebounds and giving every play 110%.  Jahvaney Beckford ’12 had 7 points.  Noah Bell ’11 came off the bench and provided a much needed spark for the offense with 4 points and a few key assists.  Chad Bryant ’12 also came off the bench and helped run the offense very well.

Our Next game is on Thursday at Home against Gann Academy at 4:30
