A Struggling Wolfpack VF Faces Evergreen Foe

New Hampton             44

Hyde School                        6

Hyde traveled to New Hampton School on Saturday for an Evergreen League divisional match-up. It was cold and blustery in New Hampshire. The Wolfpack were never quite able to get things going and New Hampton scored early and often in the first half behind some speedy running. Hyde managed a couple drives in the first half that showed promise, including one with a 35 yard pass from Derek Kubitz ’11 to Jumah Sutton ’11, but didn’t finish off the drives.

A couple of Wolfpack players, Danny Gill ’12 and Tom Rich ’12, got their first opportunities to start this season and gained some valuable playing experience.

Quarterback Derek Kubitz ’11 ran in Hyde’s only score of the day late in the game and continued his scoring streak. The TD was his sixth of the season (4th rushing).

Hyde (0-4) looks forward to righting the ship on Friday in Woodstock as the Wolfpack host Hebron Academy under the lights for a 7:00pm showdown on family weekend.
