When should I visit?

Visits are available year-round, but the best time to come is when school is in session. Seeing Hyde in action, with students in class, on the practice field, and moving through their day, gives you a much richer picture than an empty campus can. We schedule visits Monday through Friday during the academic year.

What will I do on my visit?

Your visit includes a student-led tour of campus, a meeting with a member of our admissions team, and your admissions interview. Most visits run two to three hours. Students and at least one parent or guardian should plan to be present for the full visit.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably and wear shoes appropriate for walking. Our campus has both paved paths and grassy areas, and you will be covering a fair amount of ground. Maine weather can change quickly, so layers are always a good idea.

Where should I park?

When you arrive at 616 High Street, proceed to the Mansion building, where you will find ample visitor parking. See our campus map for a full overview of the grounds.

What else is there to do in the area?

Bath is a great place to spend the day. Downtown Bath sits along the Kennebec River and offers restaurants, independent shops, and the Maine Maritime Museum. The surrounding Midcoast region includes Boothbay Harbor, Freeport, and the beaches of Popham and Reid State Park. If you are making a trip of it, there is plenty to explore before or after your visit.
