Academic Onward
Academic Onward is a continuation of Hyde's college preparatory curriculum. The program provides a structured opportunity for students to acquire learning strategies, improve course averages, and enhance learning skills. The on-campus program runs for four weeks over the summer, and the time a student spends in the program is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Students in Academic Onward participate in weekend activities, such as beach trips, hiking trips, and other outdoor adventures.
Academic Onward is designed to serve three categories of students:
- Currently enrolled students who seek/need to earn additional credit.
- Students with credit deficiencies.
- Students who matriculate at Hyde School during late winter or spring are often advised to participate in Academic Onward to gain missing credits.
