Academic Onward

Academic Onward is a continuation of Hyde's college preparatory curriculum.  The program provides a structured opportunity for students to acquire learning strategies, improve course averages, and enhance learning skills.  The on-campus program runs for four weeks over the summer, and the time a student spends in the program is assessed on a case-by-case basis.  Students in Academic Onward participate in weekend activities, such as beach trips, hiking trips, and other outdoor adventures.

Academic Onward is designed to serve three categories of students:

  1. Currently enrolled students who seek/need to earn additional credit.
  2. Students with credit deficiencies.
  3. Students who matriculate at Hyde School during late winter or spring are often advised to participate in Academic Onward to gain missing credits.
