International Students

Hyde School provides a unique co-curricular educational experience for students from across the globe. We offer our international students an immersive American experience - they have an American roommate, participate in three seasons of competitive athletics, and take college preparatory courses which focus on improving their English language proficiency.  As part of our character based programming, international students also work on their leadership skills, public speaking confidence, and building meaningful relationships.  We are focused on working closely with our international students to help them reach their full potential.  Our students have valued their Hyde experience and it has given them key skills to tackle the challenges of college and beyond.

Hyde School is excited to announce we are headed back to China to meet prospective students and families for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. We will be in the following cities and would love to meet you!

Hyde has a special relationship with China and hope to visit with interested families and students on our second trip.

Over the course of my 25-year career at Hyde School, one of the highlights has been seeing our international students embrace Hyde's character curriculum while also teaching our community about their respective cultures and traditions. These students, who enroll from across the world including Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America, bring a positivity and vibrancy to our campus while going after their own unique potential.  Our international students set an example of curiosity and courage for all of us to follow.

Academics

Hyde School offers an individualized approach to academics with the goal of developing lifelong learners who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, who have confidence in their academic potential, and who challenge themselves as they prepare for success in college and beyond.  

College counseling

At Hyde School, we pride ourselves on developing meaningful relationships with our students.  From classrooms to athletic fields to school leadership, we know who our students are and how to meet their individual needs. Hyde School’s College Counseling Office works closely with each student and their family as they explore opportunities for life after Hyde.

Atheltics

Everyone is a student-athlete at Hyde School.  Despite varying athletic backgrounds, interests and abilities, all students participate in all three seasons of sports.  We strongly believe that being on a team fosters the development of life skills such as sportsmanship, leadership, and the spirit of competition.

Character

Hyde School was established on the belief that “every individual is gifted with a unique potential that defines a destiny.”  This founding statement guides Hyde’s mission – “Develop Character to Discover Unique Potential.”

Academic Support

Hyde understands that some students need additional academic supports to find success in Hyde's college preparatory curriculum.  Learning Connections, Hyde's academic support program, offers these students the opportunity to build study skills, manage classwork, and develop learning habits that prepare them to succeed in college and beyond.
