Dear Parents,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the spring weather! As we near the conclusion of the term and the year, I want to provide you with some important information.
Transportation: Just like at the beginning of the school year, Hyde does not provide transportation for students to airports, bus stations, etc. Parents are responsible for making departure plans. Parents within driving distance are encouraged to come to campus to pick up their student(s) so their belongings can be taken home. We do not recommend Uber or Lyft as transportation services for students to depart from campus. There are often no drivers in the area and they are known for cancelling rides, even when they are booked well in advance. Here are some recommended options:

*Please communicate all travel plans to the Dean's Office (swall@hyde.edu / 207-443-7119) or to your student's Discovery Group Leader as soon as possible. Include departure times, flight numbers, etc. If you plan to pick up your student, please let us know your approximate arrival time on campus as this information is extremely helpful to have!
Graduation Ceremony: We are asking all students to stay through the Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 24th, at 10:00 AM. We would love for parents to join us for this special event! After commencement, lunch will be served in the Dining Hall. Immediately following Graduation, dorm parents will inspect your student's room and clear them to depart for summer break. The estimated time for students to depart from campus is 2:00 PM. Please keep this in mind when planning!
Shipping Belongings Home: We are partnering with the local shipping company, Mail It 4 U, to ship student belongings home. If you would like to utilize Mail It 4 U for this service, please fill out the attached form and return it directly to Mail It 4 U or Sydney Wall at swall@hyde.edu. Mail It 4 U will be on campus Wednesday, May 7th from 4:00-5:00 PM and Wednesday, May 14th from 4:00-5:00 PM. Forms need to be turned in before your student has any boxes collected. For students returning to campus in the fall, we will offer on-campus storage for large belongings.

Packages & Mailing Address: Students are asked to stop ordering packages to Hyde by May 14, 2025, to ensure everything arrives before the end of the school year. Any mail or packages delivered after the final day of school will be the responsibility of the family to retrieve or forward. We kindly ask all families to update mailing addresses for the summer, including recurring or subscription deliveries! Graduating seniors should be sure to make permanent address changes as you take this exciting next step beyond Hyde!
