As we wrap up the short December stretch, we are reminded that despite all of the challenges each of us faces in our lives, in our families, and in the larger world, there is always something to be grateful for. When we acknowledge this, we open the channel to find the strength to move forward and be an agent of change for ourselves and others. This week, students and faculty were asked to share thoughts on gratitude:
"I am grateful for my family, my friends, and being in the United States."
"I am grateful for my coaches, for I wouldn't be where I am without them."
"I am grateful for my friends at Hyde."
"I am grateful for the people I have met here at Hyde and for my family."
"I am grateful for those peers who challenge me to be my best."
"I am grateful for the opportunity to work each day with an amazing group of students."
"I am grateful to have the faculty team we have."
"I am grateful I work in a place that emphasizes the idea of inspiration from the youngest student to the most senior faculty."
"I am grateful for our beautiful, safe campus, which is a home to our community."
"I’m grateful for being part of a community where students and adults work together in a shared mission."
"I'm grateful for the humor and the goodwill that is at the core of our community."
As for myself, I am grateful for so much. I am grateful for my husband and family and for having an incredible mother to show me the way. I am grateful to work in a community where principles are central and every day is filled with meaning, learning, and fun!
