Dirigo, "I Lead"
Maine has a long history of leaders who display courage and integrity. They have excelled at working with others for solutions as well as standing alone on principle when important.
Hyde School has a history of helping students discover their unique potential. In order to become the best possible self, a person must develop an understanding of themselves, the presence to speak, and the grit and confidence to go the distance when the going gets tough.
The Maine State Leadership Alliance has 2 Goals:
- To bring together Maine youth with Maine leaders to explore and promote leadership development.
- To provide qualified Maine students a life-changing leadership opportunity with a postgraduate year at Hyde School.

Maine Youth Leadership Day
Each fall, the Bath campus hosts a Maine Youth Leadership Day, where students from all over the state are invited to come to campus for the day and participate in workshops run by business and community leaders, as well as fellow student groups. A prominent Maine leader will kick off the day with an inspirational keynote address, and the day wraps up with a student-run panel, where all students are invited to participate. Past keynote speakers have included Senators Susan Collins and Angus King, Ed Deutschlander, SSG. Travis Mills, Mary Mayhew, and Steve Abbott.
