Join Us for a Joint HAPA & Senior Parent Summer Retreat

‘Life Long Journey’ –
An Exploration of Our Unique Potential

July 13-15 (Bath) & July 20 –22 (Woodstock), 2012

This summer, Hyde is offering a unique retreat experience to alumni parents who want to continue their personal growth in a seminar setting. The Hyde Alumni Parent Association (HAPA) will join senior parents who are preparing themselves for a heightened year of leadership and learning.

HAPA retreatThe Hyde education has been called a “lifelong journey,” and we know that uncovering our unique potential, with the help of others, is an ongoing process of self-discovery. Current parents are beginning a new relationship as a mentor or coach with their child, while alumni parents are continuing to establish their vision beyond parenthood.

Couples are encouraged to attend together. A portion of the retreat will be devoted to examining the important relationships in our lives, and how they impact our sense of self and destiny.

The weekend is part of the HAPA Renewal Weekend program, which offers alumni parents the opportunity to step out of their busy lives, meet new friends and rekindle old friendships, and reflect on life’s purpose and journey.

Retreats will be held on both the Bath campus and the Woodstock campus, and space is limited.

Cost: $150 per alumni parent

Registration: Please register with Judy Hendrickson at 860-963-4756 or jhendrickson@hyde.edu.

The weekend will leave everyone with a renewed sense of vision and capacity for growth. One HAPA remarked last year, “It was a reminder of everything I miss about Hyde … the freedom to push myself within a framework of support, the sharing of life struggles and triumphs, the explicit setting aside of time for reflection, and the deep comfort that results from a balance between challenge and validation.”

We hope you’ll join us.
