A Message from the Director of Athletics
Welcome to the Hyde-Woodstock Athletics web page. At Hyde, athletic participation and competition is a highly valued commodity and an integral part of our character curriculum. With an emphasis on effort and sportsmanship, all students live and learn the valuable lessons offered through interscholastic teams.
We believe that athletics provide the most immediate report card of any of Hyde’s curricular activities and challenges. We also hold special respect for the distinct benefits offered by team, individual, and contact sports and encourage students to experience all. Finally, sports at Hyde provide opportunities for leadership in its purest and simplest form.
As we embark on a new school year and season, I look forward to watching our teams play to win with impeccable sportsmanship. In addition, we will strive to ensure that each athlete will experience a “moments of truth” as they surprise him or herself through personal accomplishment.
