Boys Varsity Lacrosse

Blue & Gold

Mission Statement

Hyde-Bath Lacrosse strives to use the sport of lacrosse to live and teach the values of Hyde School and foster the connection among all Hyde Lacrosse players past and present.

Program Overview

Hyde School, founded in 1966 in Bath Maine, offers high school and postgraduate students a unique combination of rigorous academic, athletic, and leadership development programs. Our program provides the opportunity for students to develop the tools and skills necessary to prepare them for sustained success for life in college and beyond. Established in 1969, Hyde’s lacrosse program competes in the MAISAD and has a long history in the prestigious New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).

The past few seasons have seen a resurgence of Hyde’s lacrosse program, with back-to-back 10-win seasons and MAISAD championship game appearances in 2015 and 2016. Hyde is dedicated to not only sustaining, but elevating this level of success moving into the future. The 2015 season saw Hyde win its first MAISAD tournament championship since 2005. In 2016, under first-year Head Coach Pierce Ellinwood, Hyde has its most successful season in more than a decade, posting a record of 12-5. Hyde lacrosse has seen players go on to DI and DIII programs, including the academically prestigious NESCAC conference; recently Hartford, Tufts, Colby and Trinity.

We encourage you to review our team pages, and learn more about Hyde’s unique educational, athletic, and leadership programs. If you are interested in learning more about Hyde lacrosse, please email Head Coach Pierce Ellinwood at PEllinwood@hyde.edu for more information.
