The Hyde Equestrian program has worked with Bramble Hill farm to develop a program tailored to students of all abilities. Hyde students get to experience the joy of riding and learn the responsibilities of horse care and maintenance. The Equestrian season lasts from November through March and Ends with a horse show at Bramble Hill to display the growth the students have made throughout the term.
In the equestrian program, students learn:
- to be safe and effective riders who push themselves to positively influence their horses;
- to have good balance and equitation and learn how to be attentive to the needs and limits of their horses;
- to care for their mounts and learn basic equine anatomy and first aid.
Advanced riders have the opportunity to compete off the grounds of Bramble Farm.
