Erin Brown

Brown, ErinExecutive Director of Development

Erin Brown was born and raised in the great state of Maine. After graduating from Oxford Hills High School, she attended Smith College and graduated with a degree in History and Secondary Education. Erin began her career teaching U.S. History, working in Admissions, coaching field hockey, and living in a dorm at Kimball Union Academy in New Hampshire.

In 2002 she transitioned into the world of Development at St. Mark’s School in Southborough, Massachusetts where she held roles as Director of Parent Relations, Annual Fund Director, Development Director and Major Gifts Officer.

After nearly ten years in education, Erin took a role at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston as a Major Gifts Officer and helped launch the campaign that led to their new hospital. Missing her home state and wanting to be closer to family, Erin accepted a position as Director of Development at St. Andre’s Home in Biddeford, Maine, an organization committed to the education and support of pregnant and parenting moms.

Erin found herself drawn back to the world of Education by her interest and passion for the unique mission of Hyde Schools. As the Executive Director of Development, Erin is grateful to be working in an environment committed to kids and families. She lives in Oxford, Maine with her husband and four children where she enjoys running, camping, and working in her garden.
