Michael McDonald works with Hyde students at the Singer/Songwriter Workshop in Nashville this spring.
The Singer/Songwriter Workshop is a program for Hyde students who want to perfect their musical craft. Whether it is writing, producing, or singing, students get hands-on training from industry experts, such as Michael McDonald, John Hiatt, and Don Cook.
Music Director Matt Newberg leads students through two intensive workshops. The second workshop, which takes place in Nashville each spring, offers students the opportunity to cut their own albums.
The trip to Nashville was a lifetime experience I will never forget!!! We had so much fun, recorded songs, bonded with each other, and visited places like Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. –Aneth Batamuliza ’11 Bath
Recently, our Nashville connection donated state-of-the-art recording facilities for the Bath campus so that students could work on their craft year around.
